It is used to prevent and treat inflammation and discomfort associated with eye surgery. Bromfenac is an NSAID (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medication). It works by preventing the release of natural chemicals in the eye that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).
Bromfenac 0.09% ophthalmic solution relieves symptoms such as pain, redness, itching, soreness, or watery eyes following eye surgery. Your doctor will determine the dose and duration of medication based on your situation. Make sure you finish the entire course of treatment. This will assure that the symptoms are entirely gone and won’t return.
Before using Bromfenac 0.09% ophthalmic solution, inform your doctor of all other medications you are taking. Inform your doctor if you have any other medical illnesses or disorders. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should see their doctors before using this medication.
Before using Bromfenac 0.09% ophthalmic solution, always wash your hands. Use only the quantity of drops advised by your doctor, and wait about five minutes between each drop. If you wear contact lenses, take them out before using the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before replacing them. You should not touch the dropper or bottle tip. This could result in infection.
Bromfenac 0.09% ophthalmic solution use may result in blurred vision, increased sensitivity to light, color vision changes, reduced vision, eye pain, aching eyes, and teary eyes. These are usually only temporary and will go away with time. However, if they persist or worsen, you should consult your doctor.
